Start by creating a dream list of what rooms you would like your luxurious lower level to include. Have you always desired a wine cellar? Home gym or a sauna? Maybe a game room? Depending on the style of your lake home, you may be able to include a walk out patio or screen porch, thus creating an outdoor seating area or bar too. If there is a deck above, a full ceiling over your patio can really make this area an outdoor extension of your lower level.
