The historic mansion sitting on the shores of an impeccable lake in southeastern Wisconsin was once the home of a Milwaukee beer barren. In the mid-1800s, wealthy businessmen and their families were retreating to the lakes outside of Milwaukee in the summers. Many of these mansions have been preserved, updated and remodeled through the generations. “The Corona” is one of these spectacular homes.

In this blog we look at the lower and upper levels of the home. The grand, sweeping staircase takes you to the upper two levels of the home. The second level features a theater room for families to relax and enjoy movies together.

The master suite is also located on this floor. The views of the lake from the master bedroom and master bath are breathtaking. The suite is set apart from the other rooms, allowing for optimal privacy and a perfect place to escape and unwind.

Along with the master suite, there are three bedrooms and bathrooms for the children. The in-suite bed and bathrooms are updated and include unique features like nooks with extra beds for sleepovers.

Continuing up the winding staircase to the third floor, this level is ideal for guests and families, with several rooms to choose from and bathrooms to be shared. This third level gives space for privacy and relaxation from the rest of the home.

What updated mansion doesn’t include the modern amenities and additions available to entertain adults and children alike? This home truly has it all. A garage addition allowed the opportunity to add a full basketball and sports court underneath. The addition was connected to the updated, walk-out lower level featuring a kitchenette, wine cellar and large game room.

Imagine strolling outside to the cascading lawn where you are greeted by lush green acreage and massive pine trees. Picture grabbing a book to read or taking a nap on the porch or in a hammock – what a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon at this retreat! And, don’t forget the clear, clean lake just beyond the home: it awaits the family and their guests all year long!
