The homeowners love summers in Wisconsin and enjoy utilizing the exterior of their home as much as they possibly can. They wanted to extend their home by using this valuable square footage outside the door. When they decided to remodel the lower level with Colby Construction, Lake Country’s premier custom homebuilder, they wanted to be able to make their patio a space they could truly enjoy. This meant having the lower patio covered so their new remodel could extend to the beautiful views of the lake and allow them to really enjoy being outdoors.
The team at Colby used the deck above but took it to a new level, making it into a water tight ceiling so that the lower level patio would be protected from the elements of nature. By doing this, the family could now enjoy their favorite activities outside! A ping pong table, foosball table, seating area and table and chairs created an outdoor family and game room. A perfect addition to the extended new patio included an in-ground covered hot tub with gorgeous lake views.
Bringing it all together meant a new lake entry for the family as well. When coming off the lake, they did not have an entrance area that was conducive to running in, dripping wet from the lake, an element that the family had always felt was missing. Colby created a beautiful new lower level entry with tile flooring, hangers and cubbies for wet towels and suits, a bathroom with a full shower and a small laundry facility. No more walking through the entire house with wet suits and towels to get to the main level.
To be able to extend their home and take the indoors out and the outdoors in has given the family the ability to enjoy their lake home at a new level.
