RELAX AND UNWIND
Start mom’s celebration with the opportunity to relax and feel pampered. Create a space in the three-season room or on the patio for her and indulge her with her favorite magazines and a refreshing iced tea, a mimosa, Bloody Mary or other favorite beverage. Let her unwind while you’re busy preparing a beautiful meal.
CREATE A UNIQUE MENU
Really treat mom to all of her favorites by creating small portions and tapas so she can enjoy a variety of many different food options. Offer silver dollar pancakes, mini-quiches or frittatas filled with fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and salads. Think about what she loves to eat and make the menu created around her favorites. (Don’t forget to leave her custom kitchen just as you found it: cleaned and clutter free!)
GIVE THE GIFT OF TIME
While a new scarf or bag is lovely, your mom would likely love to have some of your time. Help her with a project she’s been hoping to accomplish around the home, or play her favorite game with her. Life never seems to slow down for Mom, so gift her with your time.
EVENING RETREAT
As the day winds down, make sure it ends as restful as it started. If there is a lovely sunset, sit on the pier or deck and take in the end of the day. Or, send mom into her luxurious bathroom to soak in the tub. Time in the hot tub or sauna are also wonderful ways to close the day.
Mothers and the women in your life work hard everyday to create a home that becomes a personal sanctuary for all who dwell inside.
